Trip to Houston

Today started at 5:30, when Edo started barking because Michael left to go to Indiana.  Then I heard, "mommy!"  So I got Maddie up and changed, put myself in the shower, and we were on the road to Houston at 6:55.  At 6:56 Maddie asked, "are we there yet?"  She had me cracking up within the first minute of our trip.  Thank god she's so funny, because it was a long drive, especially when she was napping!  We stopped In Corsicana, then Huntsville at McDonalds' to play and get caffeine.

She had a blast playing and I was thankful not to be driving for a few minutes.

When we were driving through Houston, Maddie lives the buildings, she said "this is the biggest place I've ver seen mommy, the biggest!!"  She was amazed at the tall buildings and I think excited that I finally said that we were in Houston.  She didn't realize that there was stilly ore driving.  I did lose count of how many times she asked "are we there yet". Over the course of our ride.  

We stopped for her to go TT two more times, the last time we stopped to TT at Kim's house to play with the puppies and see Michelle and David.  Then we drove the remaining 5 minutes to GG's house, where we unpacked, had lunch and well deserved naps!
